We are the Hoof Troupe, a group of friends who portray fauns at the Renaissance Festival of Nebraska! When the faire season is over, we like to prepare for the upcoming year and create fun faun content (or fauntent, if you will). On this site, you can find our character bios, some fun faun products and patterns, and our Affiliate links!

Fauns, left to right: Grimmy, Onyx, Nova, Hazel, Lily, and Lyra.

 Meet the Fauns!

Grimmewynn

Grimmewynn, also known as Grimmy, is our troupe’s human expert. She helps us navigate the human world and blend in with the mortals as we search for Pan.

Nova

Nova is the troupe’s magical advisor. She used to spend most of her days assisting Pan perform his magic. Nova specializes in reading the stars and keeping an eye on her younger sister Onyx.

Hazel

Hazel is the protector of our group. She is a skilled fighter who was assigned to guard Pan, and will not stop searching until he is found safe and sound. Hazel has her hands full keeping an eye on the rest of the troupe.

Lyra

This is Lyra, our bard! While traveling with Pan, she accompanied his masterful use of the Pan flute, or played to entertain him. During our search, she not only plays for us to keep the troupe’s spirits up, but she also communicates with woodland creatures to assist the search.

Onyx

Onyx is our troupe’s navigator and mapmaker, though her sense of direction may often fall into question. She has high energy and keeps the troupe on the tips of their hooves - especially her older sister, Nova!

Lily

At first glance Lily is a sweet and gentle faun, but don’t let your guard down; her herbalist knowledge consists of magical flowers and potions, yes, but also of deadly plants and poisons too. On the search for Pan, she has made it her mission to catalog all of the strange and mystical flora she encounters in her Magical Complantium. However, she has a hard time telling which plants have arcane tendencies and which ones are weeds, so she collects information on all of them in the hope to unlock their magic through her research.
