Hazel
Hazel is the troupe’s protector, and served as Pan’s elite guard until his disappearance.
Hazel’s full name is Hazelnut Capella. Her father, Hiero, is a well-known warrior in the troupe’s village. Growing up as the oldest, the only time Hazel had to bond with her father was during training sessions. When Hiero decided to retire and lead a simple life at home, he arranged for Hazel to take up his legacy. She became the personal guard to Pan, the God of the Wild. Everything seemed to be aligning perfectly for Hazel to build her own legend…until Pan disappeared. Feeling personally responsible, Hazel has sworn to not return home until she has found Pan alive and well.
Hazel is never found without at least one dagger.
Her tastes in clothing and jewelry are on the simple side compared to the other members of the Hoof Troupe. She prefers metals of either gold or silver, and has little use for jewels or gemstones (though she does enjoy looking at them on others).
Hazel’s coloring is dark brown, with white on the underside of her tail and the inner portion of her ears.
Speaking of ears, you’ll find Hazel’s large ears high and alert at all times, listening for danger.

Ram Horns
Kelly uses these horns, custom-painted in a brown to cream gradient with detail shading in the grooves. The horns were removed from the elastic band and sewn into a brown lace-front wig. These horns are very lightweight and comfortable to wear, but be aware that they are on the delicate side.

Fake Septum Rings
Our Hoof Troupe decided to incorporate nose piercings as a cultural lore element with our characters. This set of fake septum rings gives a great variety of options for different aesthetics. Hazel, specifically, wears the plain gold hoop. This set is available in gold or silver.

Faux Leather Medieval Belt
This medieval-style pleather belt is a great introductory costume piece. It’s available in 2 lengths, and can be worn around this hips or waist. Kelly added this to her costume in 2022 and was pleasantly surprised at how it performed during the renaissance festival.

LA Splash Matte Lipstick
Kelly uses LA Splash Matte Lipstick in Venom for her faun nose and upper lip makeup. This liquid lipstick has incredible staying power, and will last throughout the day (even in gross weather and through multiple snacks/meals). Greasy foods can cause the lipstick to transfer slightly, so make sure to check in on the lipstick periodically. It can be tough to remove, so make sure that you have makeup wipes or micellar water in addition to face wash for removal.

Wig Grip Bands
Hazel’s ponytail wig can be a little backheavy. With the built-in comb and a wig grip band, Hazel’s hair and horns stay in place all day - even while dancing the Maypole and playing games with children. These grip headbands are recommended for anyone with short hair or heavy wigs that need a little extra help staying in place.
